Due to factors, all stemming back to the condition of the economy, it was faced with static student resident numbers and increasing pressure from its parent university to become a contributing member to the revenue base. The problem facing The Student Village lies in that all its facilities are geared to meet the requirements of individuals rather than large groups travelling together. This research is directed at identifying and evaluating the facilities that are available to groups and setting up a system to handle large numbers of short term visitors.
