This research evaluated the employment of metal-modified polyimides to achieve optimum conductance at an aluminum joint. Condensation and addition polyimides were employed. The modification of the polyimides occurred in two ways. The first method involved homogeneous doping of the condensation polyimides with metal-ion complexes.
