Seven tests were conducted using \"C\" and \"Z\" purlins attached to standing seam and through fastened panels. These tests were subjected to uniform gravity loading by means of a vacuum chamber. The experimental results were compared with analytical predictions based on the 1996 AISI Specifications with and without the inflection point considered a brace point. Finite element modeling of through fastened \"C\" and \"Z\" purlin tests were conducted and compared to experimental through fastened results.
