Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe general purpose of this thesis is twofold: (1) to present and analyze the characteristics of the environment which have evolved through the slowly changing aspects of man's social and communal living patterns; and ( 2) to design a building to be placed within the physical and human limits of this environment. The culture of man must be understood in order for the architecture within its midst to have meaning and purpose. The architecture, in turn, has no significance it is separated from the surrounding society of man and his works. Culture and architecture are inseparable.
