There was qualitative and quantitative research performed which was used to reveal Internet threats experienced by pupils with severe special educational needs and to analyse their behaviour while surfing the Internet and its peculiarities. The questionnaire investigated the online behaviour of pupils with special educational needs, it was used to find out whether they keep their personal information and they do not publish it on the Internet, how often do they use the Internet, what are the websites visited more frequently by pupils, activity in the websites, the threats experienced, their opinion about their security while surfing the Internet. The qualitative research was performed using the interview method which 10 pupils with severe special educational needs were participated in. Pupils who participated in the research have moderate or slight intellectual disability. The interview method was used to find out behavioural characteristics on the Internet of pupils with severe special educational needs such as the frequency of connecting to social networking sites, what activities are they mostly interested in, what time do they connect to the Internet, their ability to keep their personal information including their password, address and phone number, their treatment of strangers on the Internet, what threats do they experience and how do they respond to them.
