Numizmatikos informacinė sistema /

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create an information system for numismatic enthusiasts, allowing them to keep track of their coin collection online and connect with other like-minded people. The system was created for a Lithuanian speaking user, since after making a research, only a few Lithuanian numismatic forums were found and there were no systems allowing users to have their own coin collection online. The system allows users to create a profile, fill their coin collection and wish list, navigate coin archive and lists of other user’s collections and coins available for swap/sale. All logged-in users can communicate through forum and contribute to the coin archive by adding new coins to the system’s database. Functionality for an administrator was carried out as well, allowing them to manage the forum, users and coins that are added in the database. In order to prepare for the production of the Numismatic information system, similar English systems were researched. After making research conclusions on what functionality is necessary for the new system, requirements for the new system were set and the development stage was started. The developed information is implemented as a website and it has responsive web design, so it is easy to use on a computer, phone or tablet.
