Abstract
dc:descriptionThe bachelor's thesis analyzes the links between organizational culture and organizational learning. The aim of the work was achieved by analyzing the concepts and aspects of organizational culture and organizational learning, revealing the features of organizational culture favorable for organizational learning. The analysis of official national, institutional, organizational documents was performed, applying the content analysis method, examining the content of the documents, the purpose of the document, named laws, resolutions and other documents regulating the rights and obligations of employees to improve their qualifications. In the empirical part of the work, applying the quantitative research method, based on the adapted Cameron and Quinn (2004) organizational culture evaluation questionnaire, it is revealedwhich organizational culture values are most cherished in Šiauliai city municipality, i.e. which values are fostered stronger and which are weaker, which organizational culture in the organization is dominating. Based on the Adapted Learning Organization Questionnaire (DLOQ), Watkins, Marsick (2013) it was analyzed whether an organization is encouraging employees to learn, improve their qualifications, aspects of targeted learning, possibilities of learning competences, when the need to learn arises and what forms of learning are the most efficient accordingly to employees' approach. The final work consists of an introduction, 4 chapters, conclusions, recommendations, bibliography and annexes. The introduction reveals the relevance and novelty of the topic, the research problem, the research object, the aim of the work, the tasks of the work, the research methods and organization. The first chapter, analyzing various scientific literature of Lithuanian and foreign authors, describes the concepts, features, aspects, functions and types of organizational culture, evaluation models. The second chapter analyzes the concept of organizational learning, in the context of organizational culture, aspects of organizational learning, methods, features of organizational culture conducive to learning and professional development of employees. The third chapter presents the research methodology, Šiauliai City Municipality and its activities (organizational structure, areas of activity). In the fourth (empirical) chapter, national, institutional, organizational documentsregulating the rights and obligations of employees to improve their qualifications are analyzed. The results of questionnaire survey analysis were analyzed, the most important aspects of organizational culture and organizational learning were identified. Conclusions, recommendations, bibliography and annexes are presented at the end of the work. The Pearson correlation analysis of the questionnaire revealed which links are most strongly identified - the link between lifelong learning and organizational success, defined by citizen trust and service satisfaction, assessing organizational success criteria, defining goals and results, smooth planning leadership style in an organization that is characterized by teamwork, agreement and participation in joint activities, as well as experiential and empowering training. Organizational activities include the promotion of management training and professional development, cooperation between employees and the manager, experiential learning and professional development.
