The test method was conducted to assess the effect of spinal stabilization exercises on the waist capacity and pain intensity of individuals experiencing chronic back pain. Statistical analysis (averages, standard deviation, average errors) was carried out. The significance of differences in mean values between independent abstractions shall be calculated on the basis of the Stjudent t criterion. The study included 7 subjects attending spinal stabilization programmes, i.e. 2 times a week after 1 hour. The empirical section examines the isometric strength and strength balance of adults attending spinal stabilisation programmes, indicators of pain intensity and functional status before and after the 4-month study. The main findings of the empirical study are: In subjects with chronic back pain, the assessment of waist pain and pain intensity before and after the study observed positive changes in mean results: torso muscle static endurance (abdominal r. 10.3; back r. 6.9 s; right side lateral torso r. from 4,4 s; left side torso r. 4,4 s, pain intensity (1,00 score), dynamic equilibrium (2.3 cm) and barrels ( 4.8 s). There is also an imbalance of strength between individual muscle groups (abdomen/back; right/left side). The differences in torso static stamina, pain intensity and static balance assessments before and after the study are statistically significant (p<0.05).
