π-π conjugated compounds and gold nanostructures for sensor design /
Abstract
dc:descriptionIn this dissertation, which is based on the articles, the application of π-π conjugated compounds and gold nanostructures for electrochemical and optical sensor design is presented. π-π conjugated compounds and gold nanostructures are materials which enhances sensors sensitivity towards analyte, e.g. in Raman spectroscopy they can enhance Raman signal. In this work green method for the synthesis of π-π conjugated compound using bacteria is presented and the application of π-π conjugated compounds for the modification of electrodes sensitive towards copper (II) ions and surfaces suitable for the formation of separated cells based coatings, whereas gold nanoparticles were used for the formation of substrate possessing bidirectional plasmon resonance suitable for surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy.
