The goal of the study was to assess the effects of physical therapy on the pain level and everyday functioning of people with high-riding patella. The testing method was used in the research. A statistical data analysis was also carried out. Such indices as percentages, points, mean values and Pearson's chi-squared test were evaluated. The p-value of p<0.05 was chosen for determining the significant difference. One patient was selected as the respondent of the research. She had individual one-hour physical therapy sessions three times a week. The empirical research was focused on assessing the strength of the lower limbs, movement range and pain level of the respondent who had a high-riding patella and attended individual physical therapy sessions. The selected indices were assessed before and after 29 physical therapy sessions. The empirical research led to the following main conclusions: 1. The assessment of the movement range of the lower limbs of the respondent before and after the empirical research showed an average change of 6% in the movement range of the left leg when bending and/or extending the knee. 2. According to the analysis of the left leg of the respondent before and after the empirical research, its muscle strength seemed to have increased by 36% when bending and/or extending and/or performing external/internal rotation of the hip joint and extending the knee. 3. The analysis of the pain level before and after the empirical research revealed that the pain decreased by 15% (p=0.035) during the workout and increased by 28% when performing functional movements.
