Internet users often choose to browse their favorite websites via computers as well as mobile devices, however, not every website is suited to be displayed on both types of technology. As an example the website of Vilnius University’s Mathematics and Informatics faculty. Therefore the objective of this work is to develop a step-by-step procedure which is used to turn a regular website to mobile friendly. Nevertheless this this technique was applied to Vilnius University Mathematics and Informatics faculty’s website. There will be analysis of three methods, which are used to develop mobile websites: responsive web design, dynamic serving, separate mobile website and their positive and negative aspects. There will then be a review of HTML frameworks, which were described as the best and the most popular tools for developing a responsive web design. The list of tools mentioned previously contains: Bootstrap, Foundation, Skeleton. Nevertheless the analysis is going to include the review of a mobile friendly websites, and sites which lack that functionality. The procedure of website transformation is going to include the use of responsive web design and actions needed to turn that into a working solution. In the last section of thesis there is going to be a description of practical steps taken to turn MIF’s website to mobile friendly.","abstract_html":"Nowadays, rate of technology improvement grows faster than ever which results in increased mobile device usage.
