The aim of research work: To evaluate the effects of different kinesio taping methods for school teachers while reducing neck pain and improving musculoskeletal system functions. Tasks of work: 1. To evaluate muscle and fascial Taping effects on neck pain, muscle strength and cervical range of motion for teachers with neck pain. 2. To compare different methods of kinesio taping on pain, muscle strength and range of motion for teachers suffering from neck pain. Materials and methods: This research was held on January, February and March, 2017 in the biggest schools of Panevežys. The contingency consisted of 36 female teachers, which were randomly divided into three groups. The first group recieved fascial Taping, the second gruop muscle taping and the third gruop sham taping methods. At the begining and after the experiment, participants were asked to fill up the McGill pain questionary and evaluate their pain intensity on Visual Analoge Scale (VAS). Also the evaluation of upper trapezius and supraspinatus muscle strength was measured with R.Lovett muscle function test and neck range of motion was tested with goniometry. Data analysis was conducted with „Microsoft Office Excel 2013“ and „R Commander Rx64 3.3.2“ programs. Results: At the end of the experiment the intensity of pain decreased statisticaly significantly in group two (p<0,05). The pain intensity after the taping aplication between the first – second gruop and second – third group the difference was significant (p<0,05). Muscle strength in all three groups elavated not statisticaly significantly (p>0,05), but the most significant diference after the taping was between first – third group and second – third group (p<0,05). Neck range of motion did not increase statisticaly significantly in all three groups (p>0,05), but the significant diference was in neck extention (between I-III and II-III groups), neck rotation to the left (between I-III and II-III gruops) and to the right (only between I-III groups). Conclusions: 1. The intensity of pain decreased statisticaly significantly in the group which had mechanical/muscle taping method, but muscle strength and neck range of motion did not increase. Participants with fascial taping method, pain intensity did not decrease, muscle strength and neck range of motion did not increase. 2. When compared two different taping methods between groups, results show that mechanical/muscle taping method decrease pain intensity more effectively than fascial taping method (p<0,05).
