There were 88 respondents nursing children with rotavirus infection. Data analysis was performed using statistical analysis Excel 2007 and IBM SPSS Statistics 20 programs. Results and Conclusions. 1. Most respondents (80,7 pct) indicated that personal and hand hygiene compliance is a major risk factor for developing rotavirus infection. Only small part (13,6 pct) thought, that rotavirus infection can be caught while sneezing and coughing. Most parents (63,6 pct) didn’t know, that once rotavirus is being healed immunity for it is acquired. Also, only one third (30.7 pct) thought, that in order to protect family members or other people from this infection it is necessary to vaccinate children.
