Sexual crimes against children can take place in any environment and the child can be victimized by anyone, regardless of the child's age and gender. Sexual abuse can take various forms, for example, physical contact (invasive abuse, touching the genitals), attempts to arouse sexual interest in the child, exploitation of the child for pornography, prostitution, and are more likely to take place when children face social and emotional neglect in the family, parental addictions, and the child has disabilities. Various studies reveal that about 20 percent of children have experienced sexual abuse, therefore it is important to carry out the prevention of such crimes, because they cause serious consequences for the child's physical and emotional state – depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, auto-aggression, learning difficulties, social isolation, etc. The school is one of the main places where various preventive activities can be held not only for the child, but also for the school staff, and it is important to educate not only about what actions are considered sexual abuse, but also to discuss how to act if you suspect them or a child experiences them, what further assistance to provide for the child. The study revealed that often prevention sessions are organized after incidents when sexual violence has already occurred, and until they occur, they are considered not to be targeted, the need for prevention is not seen, and most of the training is expensive. This study revealed that there are cases of inappropriate sexual behaviour among peers in schools, such as touching intimate parts of the body, sharing nude photos of children inside the school, sharing pornography. There are also cases when a school employee commits sexual crimes against students.
