Foreign researchers are continuously studying the stalking experienced by representatives of specific professions, including law enforcement. Conducted analysis of scientific studies revealed that representatives of specific professions, which specifics are closely related to communication with isolated (vulnerable) people, may be at a higher risk of experiencing stalking. Also, professionals who may be perceived as causing harm can also experience stalking. The theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis revealed that law enforcement officers may experience stalking because of revenge, retribution, and decisions made by law enforcement officers that are disadvantageous to some individuals. The empirical qualitative study conducted by the author using the semi-structured interview method with 5 law enforcement officers about their experiences of stalking revealed that law enforcement officers in Lithuania may experience stalking due to their professional functions, and the stalking is carried out by revenge and seeking of retribution. The limited scope of official statistical data in Lithuania currently does not allow for an assessment of the prevalence trends of illegal stalking and for drawing conclusions, particularly in the context of stalking of law enforcement officers. However, analyzing the prevalence trends of stalking of law enforcement officers in Lithuania could be assisted by future victimological studies.
