The work consists of three main parts: literature analysis, conducted quantitative research and its results, conclusions and recommendations. In the literature analysis part, software development methods, main IT areas and processes were reviewed. The concept of artificial intelligence is also named and virtual assistants and chatbots are analyzed and their benefits in developing software or performing other IT work. After analyzing the literature, the author conducted a study on the use of artificial intelligence technologies and assistants and their benefits in software development or other IT work. During the quantitative research, the respondents provided answers to the prepared questionnaire. The main purpose of the questionnaire was to find out whether artificial intelligence is used at work, how the respondents' work processes have changed with the use of AI. The main goal was to find out the benefits of AI technology in daily processes. The conducted study revealed that the use of AI increases the productivity of software developers or other IT social workers, saves time and speeds up processes. The conclusions and recommendations summarize the main concepts of the literature analysis and the results of the conducted research.
