This bachelor's thesis conducts research that aims to investigate the effects of mindfulness practice on children's executive functions. 23 children, 9 boys and 14 girls, aged 7 to 9 years, participated in the study. The study was conducted by dividing the children into two groups: an experimental group in which the children participated in mindfulness activities, and a control group in which the children performed colouring tasks. Both groups performed executive function tasks before and after the intervention. Five computer tasks used in Lauryna Rakickienė's doctoral dissertation (2015) were used to assess executive functions, two tasks each for response inhibition, working memory and one task for shifting. Parents' questionnaire about children's mindfulness practices at home was also completed. The results showed that in the experimental group, the indicators of executive functions improved more significantly compared to the control group. These results suggest that mindfulness can positively influence executive functions in children, offering opportunities for further research and educational applications in this area.","abstract_html":"Currently, more and more attempts are being made to find ways to improve the academic success of students.
