To determine the short term – effects of foam rolling of two different segments of superficial back line on pelvic tilt. Materials and methods. The study was conducted in January – February 2024 at Vilnius University, Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Rehabilitation, Physical and Sports Medicine. The study involved 60 participants (34 females, 26 males), who were randomly divided into three experimental groups: Group A – foam rolled epicranial fascia and thoracic part of erector spinae muscles (n = 20), Group B – thoracolumbar fascia and hamstrings (n = 20), Group C – gastrosnemius muscle and plantar fascia (n = 20). Participants were evaluated before, immediately after and 30 minutes after foam rolling. The evaluation of range of motion was assessed using a goniometer or inclinometer, active straight leg raise test (FMS), the Schober test, lumbar locked rotation test, finger – to – floor distance and pelvic tilt. Statiscal analysis of the data was carried out using Microsoft Office Excel And R 4.3.1 software. Results. It was determined that range of motion statistically significantly improved in all experimental groups (p < 0,05), while there was no statistically significant difference between experimental groups (p > 0,05) (except for passive knee rotation). The pelvic tilt was not statistically significantly affected (p > 0,05). Conclusions: 1. Regardless of the foam rolled segment of superficial back line, there was a statistically significantly (p < 0,05) increase in active dorsiflexion, passive knee rotation, active cervical, thoracic and lumbar flexion, thoracic rotation as well as hamstrings elasticity. The effect of foam rolling remained 30 min (p < 0,05), except for passive knee rotation. 2.
