G. Drūteikienė Vilnius, 2024 SUMMARY 47 pages, 15 tables, 4 pictures, 1 appendix, 48 references. The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to explore the destructive leadership behaviours and its impact on subordinates' perceived stress. To achieve this main purpose, these tasks have been set: 1. Define the concept of destructive leadership. 2. Identify the main categories of destructive leadership behavior. 3. Identify the impact of destructive leadership on the organization. 4. Identify the impact of destructive leadership on employee productivity. 5. Identify strategies and tools to reduce the prevalence of destructive leadership behavior in organizations. 6. Develop a model for identifying the relationship between destructive leadership behaviors and subordinates' perceived stress. 7. Conduct a quantitative study on the relationship between destructive leadership behaviors and subordinates' perceived stress. The work consists of the following parts: a review of scientific literature, the study methodology, and its results, conclusions, and recommendations. In the literature review, the concept of destructive leadership, categories of destructive leader behavior, and the impact of such behavior on employees are discussed, as well as strategies and tools for managing/avoiding this behavior. After conducting the literature review, the author conducted a study on the influence of destructive leadership behaviors on subordinates' perceived stress. The main purpose of the questionnaire was to identify and explore whether there is a statistically significant relationship between destructive leadership behaviors and subordinates' perceived stress. The data from the study was processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics package. To assess the compatibility of the scales, Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used (in all cases, it was greater than 0.7). To evaluate the relationships between variables, the following statistical analysis methods were used: tests of data normality, analysis of the influence of demographic characteristics on variables (Kruskal-Wallis H and Mann-Whitney U tests), correlation analysis, and descriptive statistics. The conducted study revealed a positive, significant correlation between destructive leadership behaviors and levels of subordinates' perceived stress. There was a weak, positive correlation between destructive leadership behavior directed towards the organization and subordinates' perceived stress. No statistically significant relationship was found between destructive leadership behavior involving sexual harassment and subordinates' perceived stress. The conclusion summarize the main aspects of the literature review and the results of the conducted study, and recommendations are provided on why and how to avoid destructive leadership behavior.","abstract_html":"DESTRUCTIVE LEADERSHIP IN ORGANIZATIONS AND ITS INFLUENCE ON SUBORDINATES’ PERCEIVED STRESS AUSTĖJA BALČIŪNAITĖ Bachelor thesis Business and Law programme Vilnius University, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Supervisor – prof.
