The main purpose of the thesis is based on scientific literature analysis to determine the bond between business market value and performance indicators in Lithuanian milk industry. The work consists of four main parts: the analysis of literature, the methodology of research, the research and results, conclusion and recommendations. Literature analysis reviewed the main concepts of business and value. Introduced the methods of business value determination and the importance of performance indicators not only for owners, but also for investors. The author of this thesis, during methodology research, stressed this research main goals: to analyse the milk sector in Lithuania, to determine what kind of changes in this sector can have an impact for milk industry, to calculate the market value and the financial indicators of AB “Pieno žvaigždės”, to determine the bond between AB “Pieno žvaigždės” market value and performance indicators. The first part of research analysed the Lithuanian dairy sector, the population of cows and the raw milk price statistics. The second part of the research analysed two companies of dairy industry. In the third part of the research, the author chose AB “Pieno žvaigždės” because it is a Lithuanian market-oriented company. The author calculated the performance indicators, market value of the company. To find out the bond between business market value and performance indicators, correlation and regression models were created. The results were summarized and illustrated. The conclusions and recommendations summarize the main concepts of literature analysis, the research, and its results. The result of research proved that the market value of business has positive connection with the financials results and performance indicators. Business market value is reacting in the changes of those indicators. Considering the analysis of liquidity and profitability indicators results, it is not suitable time for AB “Pieno žvaigždės” to take short-term loans.
