Aim of the study: To evaluate the effectiveness of augmented reality on persons of various ages, in complex rehabilitation. Tasks of work: 1. To analyze the effect of augmented reality in complex rehabilitation. 2. To compare the effect of AR and other applied interventions on individuals of different ages in complex rehabilitation. 3. To evaluate the effectiveness of AR for persons of various ages, in complex rehabilitation, Methodology of investigation: The systematic literature review was written in accordance with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Item for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyzes) systematic literature review. Searching for scientific articles in the Medline, PubMed, Web of Science ir Cochrane library databases was performed by a single researcher using a search strategy tailored to each database. The search for scientific articles was carried out according to the date of publication of the research, which had to correspond to the years 2015 - 2024. The number of publications selected by keyword combinations was 2583, of which 9 publications were included in the systematic literature review after selection according to the criteria of inclusion and exclusion of the systematic literature review. Results: 9 studies (6 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and 3 non-randomized studies) and 180 patients were included. Studies mainly concern basic rehabilitation(56 proc.), and to a lesser extent VR (28 proc.), AR (28 proc.), and gamification (16 proc.). A good relationship between patient and physiotherapist is essential for treatment compliance and new technologies are useful to maintain clinical interactions.The majority of included patients were between 60 old and had health problem. Augmented reality rehabilitation was not inferior to face-to-face therapy, and physical improvements were demonstrated by increased finally results. Conclusions: 1. According to the data of a systematic literature review, augmented reality is more effective as a rehabilitation tool in complex procedures. 2. When comparing augmented reality with other applied interventions during complex rehabilitation, a statistically significant score of the results achieved using augmented reality was determined. 3. The significant effect of AR-based interventions in complex rehabilitation for persons of various ages has been confirmed.
