The topic of the bachelor‘s work is “Clothing Of Folk Ensemble“, the aim is to analyze usage of Ancient Lithuanian clothing parts, production opportunities and creation of clothes in school folk ansamble. In this paper there will be analyzed Lithuanian national costume problems and its application for folklore ensemble clothing. From all ensembles that wear national costumes, it was chosen the group that wears costumes of the time from V till XIV century. The introduction shows work’s objectives and tasks, theme relevance, presents the documents that ensure the existence of the national culture. In the first part there are explored problems of national identity, its development and researches. Also, it is revealed that national costume is a part of overall ethnic identity. Further the work reflects national costume design and reconstruction development in Europe and in Lithuania. The timeline from XIX century till today is discussed with a view to making clear that nationality is an important matter in of nation‘s interest and nation‘s survival. The second part reveals that the revival of nationalism was the traditional culture, its analysis and its application to modern life. Also, this part has a survey analysis which shows that archaeological clothes fit for folklore ensembles. The responses of the survey let us see that the archaeological clothes are acceptable in contemporary society and have important impact in national education. In the third part ancien Lithuanian clothes are discussed in details with symbolics of its colors and patterns. The fourth part presents the stages of creative work. In the fifth part there are analysed details of clothing, which were created according to V – XIV century reconstructions, the possibilities of the production in technology lessons, also, the results of interviews with technology teachers, which show that the details of ancient Lithuanian clothing are available to make during the technology lessons. In the end, there is conclusion, the list of sources and appendixes.
