The research object: the factors of children’s health education in family and pre-school institution. The research aim: to investigate the factors of pre-school age children’s health education in family and educational institution. The research methods and organisation: analysis of the literature; questionnaire survey; mathematical analysis. 147 respondents took part in the research: parents of children at the age of 5 – 6 years (n = 95) and pedagogues of an educational institution (n = 52). Conclusions: Successful implementation of educational programmes and projects as well as formation of the conception of child’s health education are predetermined by the following factors: family values, the attitude towards healthy life style, the interaction between family and pedagogues in creation of possibilities for children’s health education, the competence of pedagogues, values of an educational institution providing the ground for construction of the educational content. It was found out that pedagogues of pre-school institutions participating in the project Healthy Day Nursery and those working according to other educational programmes more usually and diversely use educational methods of physical education than educators of day nurseries working according to other programmes. In their activities, more diverse forms of children’s education are employed – morning sports exercises, physical training, physical activities during walks; it is aimed to implement the competence of health protection through a creative complex method by using the biological child’s need to move. It was found out that majority of parents who took part in the survey insufficiently valued and maintained the provisions of healthy life style. However, more than half of the respondents (71,7% and 64,3%) expressed the opinion that parents should pay most attention to instalment of healthy life style’s skills in children. The research showed that parents go in for sports with their children, in the framework of the project Healthy Day Nursery – 28,3%, sometimes go in for sports – 50,9%; in day nurseries working according to other programmes – 14,3%, sometimes – 23,8% of parents. More than half of children attending pre-school institutions working according to the project Healthy Day Nursery attend sport clubs organised by educational institutions – 64,2%, in day nurseries working according to other programmes 81,0% of children have no possibilities to attend them. The morbidity is lower among children attending day nurseries running the project Healthy Day Nursery. It can be stated that a family and an educational institution are among the main institutions improving the development of child’s health education.
