The aim: asses the nursing need for the individuals after knee joint replacement surgery during post-operative period. Objectives: 1. Perform a quantitative study for patients after knee joint replacement operations. 2. To assess the status of health 3. Analyze the needs for nursing and determine the quality of nursing services Study methods. In total, there were 110 respondents. The patient survey was carried out in 2016 February – April months. The study was conducted in public institution: Vilnius university hospital, clinic of the Santariškės and public institution: National Vilnius university hospital. During study was used our own arranged questionnaire. The questions were divided in 4 groups: I question group consists of 6 questions, in order to assess patients’ common data; II group consists of 7 questions to assess health status, it also includes the pain scale and Reeder stress test; III group consist of 8 questions to determine nursing needs; IV group consists of 5 questions in order to assess the quality of nursing services. Data analysis. The obtained survey data were processed and statistically evaluated while using the 17.0 version of SPSS software program. MS Office 2010 package were used to make graphics and tablets.
