Abstract
dc:descriptionThis bachelor thesis consists of two parts – practical one, where two painted works of mine are exposed, and theoretical one, where the relation of this work to abstract expressionism is presented, the main artists of this trend and their works are discussed, also the whole process of my work is described. Painting is the part of my life which helps me to express my thoughts, feelings, energy, so this work is related to the issue which has deeply affected my inner self, it being a cruel behavior with animals. Abstract expressionism played an important role for realizing my ideas, while my own painting manner reveals my experience, feelings, and impulsiveness in the works “Mood“. The variety of colors, lingering expressivity, and distinct factures helped me to convey my emotions to the spectator; what is more, acrylic paints, metal palette – knives and paintbrushes of various sizes were the means which allowed me to externalize and fulfill my ideas.
