Animacinis filmas lietuvių liaudies stebuklinės pasakos “Aguonėlė” motyvais /

It might be said, that each person grew up with the tales, that were told before the sleep. The large part of these tales can be defined as horror. Horror tales give the asociations of devils, withches, spells and incantations. The aim of this paper is to analyse Lithuanian folk tales and their features. Moreover, it is important to analyse in what way they are unique and special. For the aim of this paper, Lithuanian folk tales are compared with contemporary tales. The closer attention is given to the tales that consist wonders and miracles. Also, the concept of animation is introduced. What is more, observation is made on the ways of creating animation and how it developed. Short introduction is given about the animation practice in Lithuania. The animation in Lithuania is usually associated with Lithuanian folklore. For this reason, it is attempted to re-establish the main features of the Lithuanian tale by trying not to lose it‘s originality. The animated movie Aguonėlė (eng. Little Poppy) is based on Lithuanian folklore tradition but presented in peculiar stylistics.
