In Lithuania there is not any standardized instrument to assess personalities of children and younger teenagers. Therefore, such criteria as correlation between personality assessments by parents and those by their children, relationships between personality characteristics and socialization, dependence between external and internal problems, relations between personality features and academic achievements as well as differences in feature appearance between genders were selected for the validity evaluation. During the study information about the personality features were supplied by 50 children between 11 and 16 years old, who attend various schools in Lithuania. They answered the questionnaire and supplied their first semester grades. In parallel, the information about these children were supplied by their 50 parents, who filled out PABs along with Strengths and Difficulties Questionnair (SDQ-Lit). Due to the quarantine circumstances most questionnaires were supplied and completed electronically. Research results showed the validity of PABs methodology. Correlative analyses between personality features and socialization, external / internal problems and child’s academic achievements matched the results of other investigations, which are reviewed in the thesis. Feature appearance analysis between the genders revealed that in evaluations by parents the girls were significantly ahead of boys in openness to experience. Correlative analysis between the feature evaluations by children and those by parents confirmed that strong positive correlation exist between evaluations of Extraversion and Benevolence scales. Meanwhile, scales of Openness to Experience do not correlate between evaluations by children and those by their parents. Extraversion features in the evaluations by children and those by their parents show positive correlation with children socialization and negative connections with internal problems. Benevolence features relate positively to with the child’s socialization and relate negatively with the external problems. Academic achievements by the child showed strong positive connection with the Openness to Experience and Benevolence scales in the parents’ evaluations. Completed correlative research and comparative analysis of the features between the genders leads to the conclusion that PABs methodology is valid and is capable of measuring the personality features of adolescents.","abstract_html":"The Bachelor thesis attempts to evaluate the validity of an innovative methodology, which is designated to assess the teenager personalities: The List of Adolescent Personality Adjectives (PABs).
