Abstract

dc:description

Foreign trade is essential for economics system. From the knowledge of economics theory we know that as the economy grows, the country's GDP grows. The Lithuanian economy has undergone many changes - accession to the EU, economic crisis, economic recovery and its slowdown. This thesis values exports impact on GDP growth. Paper analyzes which groups of goods have the greatest impact on changes in GDP. The theoretical part of this study analyzes theoretical and practical researches from Lithuanian and foreign authors regarding the impact of exports on GDP growth. Analytical part of this thesis statistical and econometrical methods are used (regression, Granger causability test, analytical rows, correlation methods). For calculations RStudio and Excel programs are used. The authors hypothesis that export impacts GDP growth, and GDP growth does not impact exports is confirmed. Furthermore, it was also determined which exported goods have the greatest impact on the GDP growth. The statistical data used for this study were obtained from the Lithuanian Department of Statistics, commercial banks, World Trade Forum reviews.
