Objectives of the thesis: 1. To analyse the factors determining the quality of life; 2. To describe criteria and models of quality of life monitoring and evaluation; 3. To develop a research instrument on the basis of objective and subjective quality of life indicators; 4. To reveal the opinion of the country’s population, assessing the current quality of life and potential opportunities and risks in the future. Research methods: systematic review of scientific literature, comparing the results of Lithuanian and foreign research; analysis, synthesis and generalization of legal documents, statistical databases, and survey data. In the first part of the thesis, concept of quality of life and its characteristics is discussed through the analysis of factors determining the quality of life and the analysis of assessment models. In the second part of the thesis, a methodology for quantitative research was developed by designing a survey questionnaire and assessing the quality of life according to socio-economic indicators. The majority of respondents rated their health as good, but only slightly worse than 1-2 years ago. The study identified significant relationships between quality of life (as a balance of emotional and physical health) and place of residence, working conditions, job satisfaction, and opportunities for progress. However, it could be observed that the surveyed population is not sure about the possibility to control their quality of life or seek to improve it.","abstract_html":"The aim of the thesis is to analyse factors determining the quality of life and conditions ensuring the quality of life.
