Disruptions in the process of apoptosis are considered one of the main causes of neoplastic processes. Caspase-3 is one of the most important molecules in the apoptotic cascade, often used to monitor the efficacy of malignant neoplasm treatment. Necroptosis is a type of cell death that has features of both apoptosis and necrosis. RIPK3 is a major necrotic protein in various types of neoplasms. In the process of eliminating and destroying tumour cells, the mechanisms and pathways of different types of cell death can be involved in complex interactions. Therapeutic approaches include surgery, targeted therapy, radiation, and chemotherapy, leading to the induction of apoptosis, a natural process of programmed cell death that eliminates tumour cells. If apoptosis cannot be induced, alternative pathways for cell death must be sought. След 2000 г в България се наблюдава устойчива тенденция към нарастване на заболеваемостта и смъртността от тези неоплазми. Апоптозата е процес на програмирана клетъчна смърт. Нарушенията в процеса на апоптоза се смятат за една от главните причини за възникване на неопластичен процес. Caspase-3 е една от най-важните молекули в апоптозната каскада, често използвана за мониториране на ефикасността при лечение на злокачествените неоплазми. Некроптозата е вид клетъчна смърт, която притежава черти на апоптоза и некроза. RIPK3 е основен некроптотичен протеин при различни видове неоплазми. В процеса на елиминиране и унищожаване на туморните клетки, механизмите и пътищата на различните видове клетъчна смърт могат да бъдат в сложни взаимодействия. Терапевтичното поведение включва оперативна интервенция, таргетна, лъче- и химиотерапия, водещи до индуциране на апоптоза, естествен процес на програмирана клетъчна смърт, който елиминира туморните клетки. При невъзможност за индуциране на апоптоза, трябва да се търсят алтернативни пътища за клетъчна смърт.
