In patients with end-stage CKD (ESCKD) undergoing HD, survival is about 75% lower than that of their peers. There is also a significantly reduced physical functional capacity and disability. The thesis aims to prove that kinesitherapy improves motor activity, social rehabilitation, and QoL in patients with ESKD. The selection of the studied individuals was made among CKD patients who underwent treatment in 2023-2024 at the dialysis centre at St. Marina University Hospital – Varna. 81 individuals were included in the sample, representing 45% of those who underwent haemodialysis treatment for the studied period. Detailed history and physical status were recorded for all participants. The following examinations were performed and completed: laboratory tests, research for functional status, and quality of life assessment. The experimental group's protocol included an aerobic exercise program using a bicycle ergometer: cycling at the beginning of the dialysis procedure with a low-intensity load. The control group did not perform intradialytic exercises. Our study confirmed the role of intradialytic exercises in haemodialysis patients. We established their influence on their functional capacity and physical activity. This gives us reason to recommend these exercises as part of the treatment complex for chronic dialysis patients to prevent reduced physical activity.","abstract_html":"CKD is a serious global health problem associated with reduced life expectancy. Това ни дава основание да препоръчаме тези упражнения в комплекса от лечебни процедури за хронично диализни пациенти като превенция на намалената физическа активност при тези пациенти."]},{"key":"dc:format","label":"Dc Format","values":["application/pdf"]},{"key":"dc:title","label":"Title","values":["Motor Activity in Haemodialysis Patients and Opportunities for Its Optimisation // Двигателна активност при пациенти на хемодиализа и възможности за оптимизирането ѝ"]}]}],"canonical_facts":{"dc:creator":["Bosheva, Magdalena","Бошева, Магдалена"],"dc:date":["2025-12-09T14:22:06Z","2025"],"dc:description":["CKD is a serious global health problem associated with reduced life expectancy.
