In gynaecological practice, the most common type of pain is dysmenorrhea. The frequency of dysmenorrhea has been established in the studied scientific literature in a wide range—8 to 89.5%, and even up to 96%—with a focus on both aetiology, pathophysiology, and the impact on the quality of life. Chinese medicine (CM) interprets pain through the imbalance in the movement of Qi energy in the channel system. Pain arises either from a blockage of the flow of Qi energy or from a lack of nourishment. The aim is to investigate and evaluate the possibilities of acupuncture, moxibustion therapy, and auriculotherapy for managing the pain syndrome in patients with dysmenorrhea. The hypotheses of the scientific study, for pain control and for changing the quality of life, were confirmed by the significant values obtained in the statistical analysis of the monitored indicators. Theoretical and practical principles underscore the significance of ongoing care and personalised treatment in preserving women's well-being. This scientific work addresses a very small part of the great possibilities of CM methods as a substitute for drug therapy, which causes various undesirable effects. An innovative model for postgraduate training has been developed, integrating Chinese methods into obstetric practice. The model emphasises active learning, individualisation, interactive methods, and combining theory and practice.","abstract_html":"Pain is considered a complex physiological phenomenon.
