That marked the beginning of its spread, which rapidly escalated from an epidemic to a pandemic, officially declared and recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a public health emergency of international concern. The viral outbreak caused significant disruptions in the healthcare, economic, social, and educational sectors. The emerging situation necessitated the implementation of emergency measures to limit the spread of the disease. One such measure was the adoption of remote learning. Referred to as “tele-education” or “online learning,” this approach had many advantages in terms of epidemic control and economic efficiency, but it also brought negative consequences for those involved in the educational process. This form of education involves: the need for technological equipment; participant isolation; prolonged screen time; lack of ergonomic learning environments; physical inactivity; disruption of circadian rhythms; and impacts on both physical and mental health. The interconnection between physical activity, nutrition, and physical and mental well-being is confirmed through an analysis of Bulgarian and international literature sources, as well as numerous regulatory documents. Вирусната инвазия предизвика сериозни смущения в здравен, икономически, социален и образователен аспект. Създалата се ситуация наложи предприемане на извънредни мерки за ограничаване разпространението на заболяването. Дистанционната форма на обучение е една от възприетите мерки. Определяна като „телеобразование“ или „онлайн обучение“, тя има много позитиви в противоепидемичен и в икономически план, но и негативни последствия върху участниците в учебния процес.
