It was driven by the researcher's interest in the subject and the growing need for energy security. The study combines qualitative and quantitative data from secondary sources like research articles, government publications, reports, and other academic sources. The data was analysed using thematic, descriptive statistics, cross-tabulation, trend analysis, and computer software to analyse the secondary data. The findings are presented in the results sections of this study.
