The following project plan expands on this idea and proposes an ideal for how small arts organizations can effectively utilize a community-centered perspective to approach public program development. This document will offer insight on how a small, community-based organization like the Mexican Heritage Center operates and the challenges it has faced planning exhibits and programs in the past. Further details will be provided about how the plans for the Dia de Los Muertos program were developed, as well as a proposed action plan for how the public program can expand next year using the theme of the community as a collaborative partner to foster new audience engagement experiences. I have written a proposal for a Call for Art to illustrate how the Dia de Los Muertos public program might grow in the future. And, figures, data and materials collected throughout the development process of Los Angelitos, as well as an annotated bibliography with books and articles about program development and audience engagement, are provided for further comprehension and awareness of the theories and methodologies that informed this plan .
