Redes de neuronas recurrentes para el reconocimiento de patrones temporales

RESUMEN El propósito fundamental de esta Tesis es el estudio de las redes de neuronas recurrentes aplicadas al reconocimiento de patrones temporales. A través de una revisión de los conocimientos que existen actualmente sobre redes recurrentes, se llegarán a unas conclusiones fundamentales respecto a su capacidad y limitaciones actuales. Con objeto de aumentar dicha capacidad, se realizarán una serie de estudios teóricos que aportarán un conocimiento básico sobre el comportamiento de las redes recurrentes hasta ahora no existente. Estos conocimientos y la introducción de nuevas ideas en el diseño de arquitecturas permitirán crear una base tanto teórica como práctica para diseñar redes recurrentes que resuelvan problemas en el dominio temporal hasta ahora sin solución. ABSTRACT The main purpose of this thesis is the study of the recuirent neural networks applied to temporal pattem recognition. Through a review of the knowledge existing on recurrent nets, basic conclusions on their capacity and limitations will be obteined. In order to improve this capacity, a series of theoretical studies wiU be carried out which will provide basic knowledge on the behaviour of recurrent nets which has not been available until now. This knowledge, and the introduction of new ideas on archuectural design, will créate a theoretical and practical basis for the recurrent networks design which solve problems in the temporal domain which could not be solved until now.
