[ENG] The work carried out in this thesis includes the feasibility study of a self-consumption installation with hydrogen production for an average house in Spain. According to the obtained result, this thesis illustrates the work undertaken in order to reduce the cost of some of the components of the Proton-Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell, such as the fabrication of the electrode and membrane junction (MEA), using the electrospray deposition technique to increase the efficiency of the active zone of the catalyst. Based on the electrospray technique we verified that the cost is reduced, decreasing the amount of catalyst without losing performance, and we optimized the process for a possible implementation within an industrial process. On the other hand, we also verified that both the addition of some components in the catalytic ink recipe and the optimization of some variables during the deposition, notably improve the durability of the electrodes and the useful life of the fuel cell. Finally, we have developed a PEM-type single-cell fuel cell with an active area of 120cm2 and we have observed scalability, both in loss of performance and in excess or variation of temperature, which must be taken into account in order to improve this technology. Based on the data, we finished the study by assembling a fuel cell of medium powers constituted by 60 cells.","abstract_html":"[SPA] El trabajo realizado en esta tesis comprende el estudio de viabilidad de una instalación de autoconsumo con producción de hidrógeno para una vivienda media en España.
