The Bargainer

Doran's father had always been mysterious. But Doran never imagined his true secret life was as a rebel against the mighty Shaman King and his Kindred. Long ago, the Shaman King had made a bargain with Death so that he and his Kindred could return from the dead should they die before their time. This helped them conquer the land of the Tors and protect them from the forces of Night. But Doran's father has spoken to Death, too, and seeks a new bargain which would include all the Torians. When the Shaman King's agents come for Doran and his family, they learn what may be the cost of a new world.
