Design of a Single Story Timber House

Often times, all the engineering that goes into designing a home is overlooked. Pioneer Home Consultants has undertaken the challenging project of structurally designing a custom single-story, waterfront home in Carson City, Nevada. This custom home was designed with the intent that the project was for a private client looking to add a second property to their land. The engineering aspects that this project focuses on is the design of the timber framing and the foundation for the custom home. A unique addition to the project is the stormwater collection system that has been designed for on-site irrigation for the property. In addition to presenting the project on a poster, Pioneer Home Consultants has provided a set of printed engineering plans detailing the architectural, structural and geotechnical aspects of the project.
