In today's world, states continue to do this, but new space has been paved for individuals and corporations who have taken the power of technology into their own hands. At the hands of those in power, technology has the capacity to manipulate and persuade people to become misinformed; however, with the invention of the internet, individuals can take back power and rewrite history. The internet's accessibility provides a platform for anyone to be heard.
