Abstract
dc:description.abstractDaughter Tongue is a collection of poems about straddling cultures and languages as a Filipino-American. Divided into three sections, the book follows a single speaker who moves between sites of contradiction. In addition to language and culture, the speaker struggles to reconcile religion with sexuality.
