Abstract
dc:description.abstractDengue Fever is a mosquito-borne disease found primarily in tropical regions of the Earth. Although not prevalent in much of the western world, dengue appears to be an emerging virus, which prompts a need for further understanding. The purpose of this study is to provide a general overview of the virus, followed by a closer examination of one of its molecular modes of action. A constructed case study is also provided, in order to characterize how the virus could potentially manifest and be treated in the United States.
