Abstract
dc:description.abstractI am interested in the role photographs play in the everyday life of contemporary society, and more specifically the people and memories that occupy those photographic images. In my work I attempt to take the specific moments caught in seemingly meaningless photographs and elevate their importance through painting and animation. I want to linger on the idea of experience and the closing gap between real-life experience and the experience gained through viewing man-made images.
