Studies suggest that the more a person is subjected to traumatic incidents, the more they are at risk. This study assessed the relationship between time on the job and the levels of compassion fatigue and job burnout in firefighters. Results of this study did not indicate that there was a significant relationship between time on the job and compassion fatigue and burnout in the studied population. However, results did indicate that participants were consistently high in job satisfaction.
