Field and historical data from fifty-four locations within the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area were used for the analysis. Bivariate and subset linear regression analyses were used to evaluate the relationship of several predictor variables to three dependent variables using two data sets. The dependent variables are stated below. (1) Sideswipe Crashes per Total Crashes; (2) Total Upstream Crashes per Total Crashes; (3) Total Crashes per AADT/10,000 per Intersection Lane Overall, the results of the analysis do not strongly support that signalized intersections with trap lanes experience a higher number of sideswipe or total crashes.
