Subjects, comprised of 124 NCAA head football coaches and 95 head basketball coaches, returned self-reported questionnaires for the study. MANOVA, t-tests and Tukey's Honestly Significant Difference tests were conducted on the subscales and determined that teamwork scores differ between the two sports. The results suggested that goal clarity and expert leadership were the primary contributors to overall teamwork scores within both sports and all levels of competition (p {dollar}<{dollar}.05).
