Analyzing a benefits communication method for a hotel/casino resort

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

There is a need in the hospitality industry to maximize employee satisfaction with medical insurance benefits provided by the company. This study examined the influence that one-on-one benefits communication meetings have upon the satisfaction or perception of a medical plan for a large hotel, casino resort property in Las Vegas, Nevada; The methodology used in this study was a survey which was administered to employees immediately before and again 5 to 6 months after they attend a one-on-one benefits communication meeting. This Pre-test and Post-test methodology is considered to be an appropriate test for satisfaction research; Survey results did not allow for rejection of the null hypotheses. However, while the results of this study lacked statistical significance, they may well be of practical importance.
