Abstract
dc:description.abstractIn Loving Memory of Young Ella is a narrative film about a fourteen-year-old girl named Ella, who must find ways to rebuild both her dream and her relationship with her parents, especially her father after everything in her world seems to be shaken and torn apart. While navigating between the dream she has for herself and for her parents, Ella must learn to make selfless choices that build her character. In Loving Memory of Young Ella covers the themes of the reality of dreams and choices for unprivileged individuals, as well as the unnoticed feelings within the parents-child relationship. While metaphorically presenting the harsh reality of many youths from Myanmar (Burma), this narration serves as a voice for the many youths whose voices and choices were taken away since the military coup that took place on the morning of February 1st, 2021.
