This thesis focuses especially on incident fields with handedness. These fields come from incident circular polarized light or from enhanced fields generated by a plasmonic metasurface. This topic was first motivated by the need of separating enantiomers mechanically. Now many works have been done by different groups. Inspired by these works, a general expression of force under an incident time-varying electromagnetic field is derived in this thesis. Some of the recent works is reviewed and discussed. This thesis also talks about the development of an open source near field simulation tool. Many simulations were done and summarized here, along with a discussion of the results.","abstract_html":"This thesis aims to explore force discrimination on chiral particles and molecules, when experiencing an electromagnetic field.
