Second, as Longstreet never carried out his intention of publishing an expanded edition of Georgia Scenes, the twenty-seven surviving Georgia Scenes (including the nineteen collected in the original Georgia Scenes) have never been collected together. This dissertation provides authoritative texts for all twenty-seven sketches.
